Question 2 of 4

When do you want your 2022 tax return to be completed?

The deadline for filing your tax return this year is April 18, 2022. You can still file your tax return and pay the tax you owe after this date. However, since the deadline has passed, you may incur a small amount of penalties and interest for late filing. This amount is calculated and notified by the tax departments directly after the form is submitted. According to the IRS, the amount of penalties and/or interest is accumulated on a monthly basis and ranges from 0.5% to 5% of the unpaid tax amount.
States tax’s penalty and/or interest are calculated similarly as the federal taxes. Since the requirements vary from state to state, we are unable to disclose the charge here.

The calculation and payment of charges for late filing is tax agency’s issue, and will not be included in the Tax Panda tax return service, and Tax Panda will not be responsible for any of your late filing penalty and/or interest.
